Spotlight Theater is pleased to provide the ultimate experience while visiting our theater for all our customers. Closed captioning, descriptive narration and assistive listening devices are available at Spotlight Theater. These devices are intended to make the experience enjoyable and accessible for our deaf, hard of hearing, blind and visually impaired moviegoers.
The devices are available for films that are encoded with captions or descriptions. We will provide these devices upon request from the theater box office for no charge. You will be requested to leave some sort of security deposit, to ensure you return the device when your movie has concluded.
These devices offer personal monitors with digital text displays that easily attach to cup holder armrests and allow the user to adjust the monitor to their preferred position. The devices are completely wireless and simple to use. Please inquire at the theater box office to see if your movie is available with Closed Captioning.
Moviegoers who are visually impaired can receive additional audio narration with their personal audio description headset. The headsets provide the user with additional description of the visual setting and a description of what is taking place on the screen. The devices are wireless and simple to use. Please inquire at the theater box office to see if your movie is available with Audio Description.
Patrons who are partially hearing impaired can adjust the movie soundtrack volume through their personal ALD. The devices are wireless headsets that receive an infrared signal that allow the user to customize the volume to their liking.
Theater Ears is an independent smart phone app that allows you to listen to featured movies in Spanish. The tracks are played in real time with the movie. You will need to have your own smart phone and headphones to access this technology. Our staff would be happy to show you how it works.
